Clear costs, no surprises
We'll always tell you what something costs — and which band or estimate it falls under — before any treatment goes ahead. If money is a worry, say so; we'd far rather talk it through than have you put things off.
NHS charges
NHS dental treatment in England is charged in three standard bands, set nationally by the NHS and reviewed each April. You pay one charge per course of treatment, whatever the band — and we'll confirm the current amount with you beforehand.
Examination, diagnosis and advice. If needed, X-rays, a scale and polish, and planning for further treatment.
Everything in Band 1, plus treatment such as fillings, root canal work, or removing teeth.
Everything in Bands 1 and 2, plus more complex work such as crowns, dentures and bridges.
Some people don't pay NHS charges — for example, if you're under 18, or qualify for certain support. We'll help you check whether that applies to you.
Private treatment
Cosmetic and some restorative treatments — such as whitening, veneers, and certain crown, bridge and implant work — are provided privately. Because each one depends on your teeth and what you're hoping for, we give you a written estimate after an assessment, so you can decide in your own time. No pressure, no hidden extras.
